Vasilii is a yearling 3/4 Thoroughbred 1/4 Hanoverian chestnut colt. He is presently about 15.3 hands and we believe he will mature around 16.2 hands. We bred him to event. However, he could excel in other disciplines, as well. We believe he is an upper level event prospect, but he could also excel in the dressage or jumper rings. He is a flashy, powerful colt with good hock articulation. He is sired by Ilios, a Hanoverian/Thoroughbred cross. Ilios is sired by Well Said (Aptitude -- Few Choice Words, by Valid Appeal), a Grade 3 stakes placed winner. Well Said is out of a mare who produced multiple steeplechasers and multiple stakes winners. Well Said is a paternal brother to the CCI**** horse, AP Prime. Ilios is out of the Hanoverian mare, Sidnae (Salieri -- Cavalkade, by Cavalier). Sidnae competed through the preliminary level in eventing. Salieri is the sire of the dressage Olympic gold medallist, Salinero, as well as the Olympic show jumper, Seven Up. He is out of Sing Your Dreams (Prisha), who is by Oh My Stars, a son of Not For Love, who is known in the sport and race world alike for throwing sensible, tractable foals. Not For Love's foals are naturally cross country machines with wings in their feet. Vasilii has excellent feet, big bones, straight legs, and a good mind. He is a flashy chestnut with three stockings and a blaze. He is sound and healthy, current on all care, very friendly, and leads nicely. He has been raised in a large pasture with other young horses, so has had a lot of natural exercise and socialization to set her up for a sound, productive life. $inquire for price. **Photos show him at all ages. The first photo shown is from October 2018. Vasilii means “Royal”.
