We have started to buy horses out of kill pens, horses at auctions, horses headed to slaughter and horses needing homes. We are taking these horses down to a quarantine farm where they spend a few weeks getting healthy, chilling out and receiving necessary basic care before we bring them to our farm. Once here we start them in a training program and go from there. We will try to show each horse at least a few times, or for a whole season, before offering them for sale to good homes. Our goal is to help as many horses as possible get back on their feet, start a new life and have a great life! There are so many wonderful horses out there that just need given a chance. SOLD - Flashy Zippo Jack 642 is a 2018 registered AQHA gelding. We bought Jack from a kill pen in LA in November of 2020. He was younger than what we were looking for but we just could not let such a young horse die. we brought him up here. Jack was a delight from day one. While he was very timid and shy he quickly decided we were ok and that being worked with was nice. We started him undersaddle and had him doing walk/trot/canter before selling him to a lovely college student. He will be attending college with her! We are so happy to have had the opportunity to work with Jack and are excited about his future with his new owner! Pictures are from our farm and Jack in the kill pen. Hip #642.
